As quoted by Sky Sports at his official pre-match press conference, Manuel Pellegrini has suggested Jack Wilshere could be back in contention to feature.
The midfielder has had a fair few injuries this season and though we have seen him play for the club more than he did towards the end of his Arsenal career, it has still be stop-start.
It remains to be seen exactly whether he will start or feature at all against Leicester, then, but it seems safe to assume he is still in Pellegrini’s reckoning.
A good player, perhaps now we will see him kick-on though, saying that, at this point in the season it is hard to get real momentum going.
For sure, then, the jury is perhaps still out on him despite this good news, and we should be getting beside ourselves with excitement having said that.
Elsewhere, the Hammers that do play this weekend need to get a result.
