Pellegrini ready to make bold move by axing key West Ham figure this weekend

|

West Ham have improved significantly under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini this season and enter this weekend’s clash with Bournemouth on the back of a superb victory over London rivals Arsenal.

The Hammers still have issues within their squad to solve though, one of which is the ongoing speculation surrounding the future of Marko Arnautovic – who is heavily linked with a mega-money move to Chinese side Shanghai SIPG.

Austria international Arnautovic is said to be keen on a move to the Far East and appeared to have waved goodbye to West Ham fans after being substituted in the second half of last weekend’s victory over London rivals Arsenal.

It certainly seems that supporters may have seen the last of the 29-year-old asĀ The TimesĀ states Pellegrini is considering axing Arnautovic from his squad for the clash against Bournemouth this weekend due to doubts over his frame of mind.

While Arnautovic has been a model professional this week, with the circumstances being far different to Dimitri Payet’s exit in 2017, he may not be risked.
