West Ham have had a tough few weeks, and now our game with Liverpool on Monday is a lot more important than we were hoping. Of course, the Reds will head into the game as favourites, and it’s going to be incredibly difficult. However, after 3 games without a win, we need a good result.
Fortunately, our manager has delivered some good news ahead of the game. Indeed, as per Manuel Pellegrini (via the official West Ham website), the trio of Marko Arnautovic, Lukasz Fabianski and Aaron Cresswell could all be fit to face the Reds. All three have had issues lately, but we’re at least in with a chance of having them all feature.
Of course, it’s vital that Fabianski is available, as he’s been a rock in between the sticks for us this season.
Likewise, Marko Arnautovic is arguably our most important player, and we were all con concerned when he was forced off in our last game. Without him, we have a real lack of offensive firepower. Fortunately, though, Pellegrini may be able to pick him – and that’s great news.
It’s likely helped that our game isn’t until Monday – giving players an extra couple of days to reach maximum fitness.
We’re going to need everyone possible to have any chance of beating Liverpool, and it looks like many of our main men will be available.
