Despite the victories at Upton Park, West Ham have yet to win away from home this season yet Alan Pardew was quick to point out that Liverpool and Tottenham had yet to record a Premiership win on the road.

That changed with Liverpool on Saturday, of course, when they finally found their goalscoring boots. But Pardew seems to think every side from Arsenal down has the prospect of relegation to face.

He says there are TWO leagues in the Premiership – the one that holds Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal – and the other that houses the rest.

But sadly there are THREE leagues. The two he mentioned … and the ‘Relegation Pack’.

Sadly, we are in the latter!

The sooner Pardew realises the two teams he mentioned (Liverpool and Spurs) are NOT and will NOT be involved in the relegation scrap, the better for him and his team.

It is that ‘Second League’ of teams that we are striving to catch, and any talk of dominating Europe (as our new chairman predicts) will have to stay on the back burner.

Pardew: ‘I’m as concerned as a number of Premiership managers are, it’s not just ourselves.

‘It’s very difficult to win away games. The teams below the top three – there is not much to chose between them.’
