Opinion: On-loan West Ham man would be very useful to Manuel Pellegrini right now

|

Back in the summer, Manuel Pellegrini made the bold move to loan out a fair few of his West Ham squad. The likes of Jordan Hugill, Josh Cullen and Sead Haksabanovic are all spending the season away from The London Stadium, but the man the Irons could do with was shipped out is Grady Diangana.

The winger, who has been impressing greatly under the management of Slaven Bilic at West Brom so far this season, was one of just four players to be loaned out by the Irons, Transfermarkt, and he’s the one who has arguably been the most impressive, and he’d be of great use to Manuel Pellegrini in his current form.

The wide-man, who has already made 21 appearances for the Irons, scoring twice and assisting once in those games, Transfermarkt, has made a very fast start in his time with the Baggies, scoring three and assisting two in his first eight games in the Championship, Transfermarkt, including an instant impact against Luton Town.

Bilic’s side travelled to Kenilworth Road to take on The Hatters in what was the first game with Diangana in the squad. However, with the home side 1-0 up at the break, Diangana game into the fold and bagged twice to turn the game on it’s head, and that’s the kind of impact that Pellegrini could really use now.

Against Crystal Palace last time out for the Irons, Manuel Pellegrini, when looking to his bench for some pace and trickery with the score at 1-1 and chasing all three points, the two who were brought on were midfielders Jack Wilshere and Pablo Fornals.

The two midfielders are certainly talented, but Diangana has a different skill set to the pair, and he would have been much more effective on the day with his pace, trickery and ability to beat a man one vs one, and if this turns into a common theme, the Irons will really start to miss their young on-loan winger.
