I’m not sure the signing of the Scottish international, Robert Snodgrass, was ever well received by those associated with West Ham United.
I must admit that when the player went off on loan to Aston Villa last season, I thought we’d seen the last of him in our famous shirt.
But, as has often been the case, I was wrong.
In fact, Snodgrass has not only remained on the books of the club but has worked his way back into contention for a place in the first team squad.
Following the home defeat, at the hands of Bournemouth, Snodgrass took to social media to express his views, remarking:
"You need to be resilient and solid – that’s your base as a defence first and foremost."https://t.co/IP03st6tjV

His comment, as you’d expect, has prompted a varying response.
Some view Snodgrass’ words as refreshing:
I never thought I'd say this, but can I hear more from Robert Snodgrass please?

Refreshing to see some honesty

But, others have treated it with a degree of cynicism:
Looks like he’s forgotten he only played 77 minutes on Saturday. Would also have helped if he hadn’t given the ball away for their first goal.

Why is this guy even in the team? Should have sent him back to the championship where he belongs.

So then Robert. What has happened in our last 2 matches?

Cutting stuff, but then again everyone is allowed to have their say, that’s the beauty of the social network.
But, one post caught our eye:
Another rent a quote . I’m sure I’ve seen this one rolled out on a different player last year .

Yes, we probably have, along with several more that, no doubt, will surface if our form and results don’t improve.
