‘One of the first names on the team sheet’: These West Ham fans want more of Bilic outcast

|

West Ham have struggled to find consistency in the start of their time under Manuel Pellegrini, suffering another defeat in the EFL Cup on Wednesday at the hands of London rivals Tottenham.

The overall performance in the 3-1 defeat was disappointing but fans on social media took some positives out of Robert Snodgrass’ display after he replaced the under-fire Felipe Anderson at the interval.

West Ham trailed 1-0 at the break and their deficit was doubled when Heung-Min Son took his tally to two shortly into the second period but Snodgrass helped to provide some hope by providing an assist for fellow substitute Lucas Perez.

It wasn’t to be though, as Fernando Llorente quelled any chance of a comeback by adding his name to the scoreboard, but supporters on social media expressed their delight at the performance of Snodgrass – who has proved to be a valuable asset after returning from his loan with Aston Villa last season.
