Plenty of West Ham United fans have slammed former Hammers’ winger Yossi Benayoun following their judgment on his market value in 2020.

COYIrons put the question to the London Stadium faithful on Twitter about what price they would put on the former 102-cap Israel international’s head.

Was Yossi Benayoun a success for West Ham?

Yes

No

Benayoun made the move to Upton Park in 2005 for £2.5m before returning for a second stint in 2012 on loan from Chelsea, racking up a total of just eight goals and five assists in 78 appearances for the Hammers.

Labelled as Israel’s greatest footballer, it was a case of what might have been for Benayoun at times, departing the club to move to Liverpool in controversial circumstances after the great escape was completed.

Despite this, supporters were not complimentary about their respective valuations and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was “not as much as Eyal Berkovic”, while another said that he was only worth six pounds. Harsh.
