No Censure For Green

To follow up, the rumours around Green being handed some sort of misconduct charge over his gesture at the end of the game against Spurs appear unfounded.

The FA is expected to write to Green to remind him that no matter how annoying the press might be, it`s probably best not to give them specific instructions as to where they can go in front of a stadium full of fans.

Personally I don`t find fault with Green at all. One high profile mistake at the World Cup does not instantly transform anyone into a rubbish goalkeeper. Following all that has been written about him it`s understandable there was an emotional release after his fantastic performance in goal.

Let`s face it, there are football journalists out there who act like hysterical schoolgirls over everything. Perhaps we all should be sending them rude gestures until they get the message.
