News: West Ham’s latest addition makes bold claim after just one week at the club

|

The 2019/20 season has been a very difficult one for West Ham fans so far. The Hammers are struggling against relegation and will be desperate to avoid finishing below the red line after 38 games have been played, but that will be a whole lot easier said than done.

Over the course of the January transfer window, David Moyes made the move to bring two new additions to the club’s playing staff as well as a few new additions to his coaching staff, one of those being former West Ham favourite Kevin Nolan.

The ex-West Ham man and current Irons’ coach has been in the job for just a week, but that hasn’t stopped him making a very bold claim. Despite being in just his third coaching role since hanging up his boots, after spells at Notts County and Leyton Orient, Nolan has claimed that the Hammers can beat the drop.

At no point has Nolan stated that it’s going to be easy, but his confidence is refreshing. The upcoming fixtures that the Hammers face will not be easy to manoeuvre, but things will ease up after this run of seven games, and the fans need to see what Nolan had to say, with his comments available to read on The Mirror.

Where will we be playing next season?

The former West Ham captain stated:

‘I’ve seen enough from the lads in training.’

‘They know the task ahead and this has been the first week where the gaffer has been able to have a real input in what he wants to show so we’re hoping we’ll be able to see some good, positive stuff.’

‘We’ve all been in these situations before, we all know what is needed and we’re very confident that we can get there come the end of the season.’
