News: Out-of-favour Hammers star discusses his future with the boss

|

A report from the Football Insider claims that Arthur Masuaku has held showdown talks with Manuel Pellegrini as he is worried about his lack of game time.

Since the 26-year-old was sent off against Aston Villa in September, he has only played one game and not even made the matchday squad on the other five occasions with Aaron Cresswell emerging as Pellegrini’s first-choice left-back.

Masuaku has played five games this season for the Hammers, but it seems his red card at Villa Park has put Pellegrini off the Frenchman.

According to the report, though Masuaku has been told that he is still part of West Ham’s plans and that he just has to work hard on the training ground and take his chance when it comes.

Pellegrini must make some changes to the team before we face Tottenham, and maybe bringing Masuaku back will help the team.

Certainly, the former Olympiakos man, who earns £40,000 per week, has pace and good dribbling ability – that could cause a leaky Spurs defence some problems.

Masuaku also provided Sebastien Haller an assist earlier in the season, and bringing him back into the side could finally give Haller the service that he craves.

Hopefully, these talks resolve Masuaku’s future, and we can have him back in the team soon.
