News: Moyes issues key message to West Ham fans ahead of impossible Man City clash

|

The next two games that David Moyes has the headache of setting his West Ham side up for are incredibly difficulty clashes against Manchester City and Liverpool at The Etihad and Anfield, it looks like Moyes wants to be able to call upon the travelling supporters to be his 12th man.

The West Ham gaffer, in his second spell in charge, has been speaking to the media ahead of his side’s trip to Manchester tonight, and he’s desperate for the supporters to try and stay positive and get behind the Hammers as much as possible as they face what will be an incredibly difficult clash.

West Ham have lost every single one of their last nine meetings with Manchester City, conceding 32 goals in the process (11v11), and it doesn’t look like they’ll get anywhere near getting a result here either, but Moyes is right to call for the fans support, as the last thing the travelling London club need is their own fans on the back when they’re facing one of the best teams in the world.

It’s understandable that the fans have been kicking off recently, the way their club is being run by GSB is nothing short of shambolic, but as the fight for survival hots up, it’s vital that the fans get behind the playing staff at least, with Moyes and co needing all the help they can get.

Where will our next win come from?

Liverpool

Southampton

Arsenal/Wolves/Tottenham/Chelsea

Newcastle/Burnley/Norwich

Here’s what Moyes had to say:

‘Stick with the team, your support is going to be vital. At home especially I think you can play your part and you can be an influence.’

‘We have had very few decisions since we have been here I have felt have gone for us and at times the crowd can influence that and we need to try and get behind the team which they have been to be fair.’

‘I have to say they have been great with me, they’re really supportive and helped me since I have been back and I have to say stick with us and hopefully we will turn it around.’
