New West Ham Signing Wants To Emulate Moore, Tevez And Di Canio

|

Yesterday, as the Hammers played the latest of their pre-season fixtures, our record signing, Felipe Anderson, got on the score-sheet.

The arrival of the Brazilian midfielder, from Lazio, for a club record fee, signals a new dawn for the club, clearly, we have ambitions of becoming one of the major players in the Premier League.

Anderson has the potential to be a superstar and it’s interesting to see how he’ll fare in the Premier League, but it appears the Brazilian, according to the news source, the Mirror, was persuaded to come to the Premier League after a chat with his friend, the Chelsea winger, Willian, with Anderson, reported as having remarked,

“In Italy, it was more about the technical side of the game. Here, I understand it is faster and tougher. But I spoke to my great friend Willian and he urged me to come here and enjoy what the Premier League has to offer.

“He said it has made him a better player.”

But, returning to just how good a player Anderson could be, it seems the player has aspirations of his own, according to our referenced source,

“I was at Santos with a number of big players and I’ve played in big clubs.

“I have heard about Bobby Moore, Di Canio, Tevez and many more here at West Ham.

“I want to be like them.”

Now that is aiming high, but ambition can be a huge driving factor in life and just perhaps, in a few years time, we’ll be talking about Felipe Anderson in the same breath as the likes of those legends he mentioned.

Is Anderson capable of matching his ambition?
