Mark Noble is known for wearing his heart on his sleeve, and has lived up to his reputation in a recently published clip showing the West Ham United captain laying into Kevin Friend following the Liverpool clash on Monday night.
The incident in question occurred after in the London Stadium tunnel as the former England youth international looked to find out, from Friend, how the officials could miss the James Milner offside call.
Milner was clearly stood behind the final man and under the nose of the assistant referee when he received the pass that ultimately led to Sadio Mane’s opening goal.
Michail Antonio later got the Hammers back level, but the frustration from a blatant missed call stuck with the players and fans alike, especially Noble.
In the clip, the 31-year-old midfielder can be seen walking past the referee before turning back and shouting “ref” in Friend’s direction.
“You didn’t see it, did you, their goal, it was a metre offside,” added Noble.
Friend replied stating “I didn’t see anything” but Noble again repeated, “it was a metre offside.”
Since the clip emerged online, social media has been ablaze with comments from the London Stadium faithful…

Thing is the officials would have known at half time they got it wrong. Much more respect given if they put their hands up and said “sorry got it wrong “

But if he was doing it in his face and swearing he would vilified and banned. He’s done it in the right way imo, he’s has his say, he’s moved on.

I mean should’ve gone to the linesman and tell him. He was the one standing right next to the situation. And offside decisions are almost always decisions made by linesmen that the main ref has to trust.
