West Ham have struggled to find consistency so far under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini but significant improvements have been shown in the past week, with the Hammers securing back-to-back wins over Newcastle and Cardiff.
That has given Pellegrini’s side a strong platform to build upon over the course of the busy festive season that lies ahead but further movement in the market is necessary – despite the fact the East London side splashed over £100m in the summer window.
With Marko Arnautovic set for a spell on the sidelines and Andy Carroll only just returning from his own issue, the Hammers’ options in the final third have been depleted significantly and Pellegrini could look to improve his quota of forwards.
That has seen many speculate that Danny Welbeck will follow former Arsenal teammate Jack Wilshere to the London Stadium on a free transfer when his current deal at the Emirates Stadium expires at the end of the year.
The Hammers have earned a reputation as a side who are always prepared to utilise free agents and a variety of supporters believe this move is destined to happen. We have gathered some of their comments below.

Welbeck leaving Arsenal isn't a surprise, what with Nelson & Smith-Rowe already being better. It's got West Ham or Palace written all over it, this #afc
