West Ham fans have got so much time for the recent links to one particular Frenchman. Dimitri Payet has got history with the Hammers, and now the rumours have come out that he could return to Stratford in the final week of the January transfer window.

The links have come from French outlet L’Equipe (via The Daily Mail) and they claim that the Marseille man could be set to make a sensational return to the club this January, and if it does go ahead then the fans would be given a massive boost in their pursuit of Premier League survival.
Payet’s first spell at West Ham saw him rack up 15 goals and 23 assists in England in 60 appearances (Transfermarkt), and if he can come back, put the bad blood between himself and the fans behind him and keep the Hammers up then he will almost certainly go down as a hero.
Would you welcome a Payet return?

The Irons love the idea of Payet making his return to the club, and who can blame them given his first stint.
