After being shown a straight red-card, at Wigan on Saturday in the FA Cup 4th round defeat, for spitting, it was expected that the Hammers player, Arthur Masuaku, would get a lengthy-ban.

That has turned out to be exactly the case.

News broke this afternoon that the 24-year-old will serve a mandator six-game ban for the offence of spitting.

Although Masuaku took to the social network site, Twitter, to apologise, the Football Association were not swayed.

The six-game ban means that Masuaku will miss the Premier League home games against Crystal Palace, Watford and Burnley and also the away Premier League games against Brighton, Liverpool and Swansea.

To sum his six-game ban up, the next time we`ll see Masuaku wearing a West Ham shirt in a Premier League game will not be until March 18th when we entertain Manchester United at the London Stadium!
