There have been a plethora of strikers linked to a West Ham move, with Callum Wilson now firmly among them.
The Evening Standard have reported that Manuel Pellegrini is interested in the three cap England international, though the Hammers are reluctant to pay Bournemouth’s valuation which the Evening Standard believe to be in the £60million region.
While ExWHUEmployee’s report knocks £15million off the price, it doesn’t change the way the move is viewed by fans…
Yep, I’ve previously mentioned that there is truth, however there are concerns around the fees (around £45m) and his injury record https://t.co/FbfRjvZ1WE

Wilson started 30 games in all competitions last campaign and returned 15 goals and nine assists.
Some West Ham fans are worried about his injury record though – with caution being prompted by past recruitment of players such as Andy Carroll who have spent sustained periods of time unavailable.
A knee injury kept Wilson on the sideline for eight matches last season, though he did suffer from cruciate ligament ruptures in 2015 and 2017, which kept him out for a combined 449 days.
The Hammers need a new striker, but many fans are still hoping that Maxi Gómez will be the man who is eventually brought in.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the prospect of signing Wilson can be seen below:
I like Wilson. He’s a good player but his previous injuries worry me. You just know that 1st day of pre-season he’ll break down and be out for the whole season.

We need to swerve him on injuries alone.

The board is right, he doesn’t represent value for money. Next please

This would be a massive mistake by our club if we went for him. He only ever seemed on fire against us anyway which is typical West Ham.

BRB, trying to find the logic in throwing £45m at Wilson but not Gomez. pic.twitter.com/q7eGI7RC1d

Salomon Rondon is £16m. Why would you even entertain paying £45m for a striker with an injury record? That £45m could be Rondon, Maripan and a starting LB

Why do we want a player for 45m who cant stay fit and has had serious injuries???

If we’re spending that much it may as well be for Gomez, 4-5 years younger and as far as I’m aware – less injury problems
