Manuel Pellegrini Is Faring No Better Than Avram Grant Did In The Hammers Hot-Seat

|

If you want cheering up on what has been a fine, weather-wise, Monday, then perhaps you’d better not read on.

But, then again, if you don’t, you’ll never know what the article is all about!

On Saturday, a stoppage-time goal saw West Ham United lose to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The defeat meant that, from the first four games, the Hammers, despite spending in excess of £100 million in the summer transfer window, have yet to pick up a point.

This is only the second time this has happened to the Hammers but, worryingly, the last time this happened was back at the start of the 2010 / 2011 season. That season culminated in the Hammers being relegated, please don’t let that happen again.

Also, continuing on opening the season with four straight defeats theme, Manuel Pellegrini becomes the first manager since Avram Grant to achieve that unwanted feat and we all know how popular the Israeli was when he occupied the managerial hot-seat.

Now, perhaps, you wish you’d halted at the warning sentence in the opening paragraphs of this article!
