Report: Moyes lands huge boost in hunt of £8m talent as West Ham target is transfer listed

|

Manchester City are reluctantly ready to accept offers for West Ham United target Tosin Adarabioyo, according to TEAMtalk.

The Hammers are believed to be one of a number of Premier League and Championship sides keen to acquire Adarabioyo this summer, after the 22-year-old talent made it clear to the Sky Blues that he wishes to secure a move away from the Etihad Stadium.

Man City have previously been steadfast in their efforts to retain Adarabioyo, but have accepted that the centre-back will not accept a new contract with Pep Guardiola’s side and will now look to cash-in with just over nine months remaining on his current deal.

Guardiola is said to be an admirer of the Manchester-born defender and had been prepared to award him the chance to compete for minutes in the first-team this term, though Adarabioyo is firm in his belief that his future lies elsewhere.

His position is such that Adarabioyo has snubbed several contract offers from the Sky Blues, who will now begin listening to offers from the swarm of interested parties.

Along with our pursuit, it is believed that Everton, Newcastle, Fulham and Leeds have also held talks with City to discuss Adarabioyo’s future, while reports have claimed the Sky Blues value the 22-year-old at £8million.

Adarabioyo spent last season on loan in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers, for whom he started 33 of his 34 league outings and helped to seven clean sheets while scoring on three occasions and assisting once.

He also averaged 1.9 interceptions, 0.9 tackles, 4.7 clearances, 61.1 touches and 39.9 accurate passes per second-tier game, while winning 1.4 ground duels and 3.2 aerial contests but also committing one error that led to a shot and giving away two penalties, per SofaScore.
