After the much-needed win last time out, against Watford, the Hammers face a difficult looking trip to take on Liverpool, on Saturday.

This season, Liverpool have looked world-class going forward but there are still doubts about their defence, despite the recent signing of Virgil van Djik from Southampton, could that be an opportunity to grab a result?

Ahead of the game, we`ve cobbled together some early team news.

Starting with our hosts Liverpool:

Jurgen Klopp is in the fortunate position whereby he has an almost full-fit squad to choose his 18-man match squad from.

The only absentee is Nathaniel Clyne who has resumed light training after an injury but isn`t ready for a competitive fixture.

Another defender, Joe Gomez, is available for selection after recovering from injury.

Continuing with West Ham:

David Moyes will be without the services of Winston Reid and Arthur Masuaku. The former is suffering from a throat infection whilst the latter is in the midst of serving a six-match suspension.

On the positive side, West Ham are able to call upon the services oF a fit again Manuel Lanzini who has recovered from a hamstring injury.

Talking about his playmaker, David Moyes had this to say at his pre-match press conference, held this afternoon,

‘Lanzini is an important player for us, but he has not played games.

‘I would be tempted to play him from the start. We know we are going into the business end of the season so we have been working them hard.”
