Recently, here at Vital West Ham, Click Here, we covered, in good faith, the inference being portrayed by the media, that the knee injury picked up by Manuel Lanzini, at the Argentine training camp ahead of the 2018 World Cup, would see the playmaker miss the whole of the forthcoming 2018 / 2019 season.
It appears that will not be the case and that the situation has been reported wrongly.
According to the news source, Express, Lanzini has picked up on these false reports and is quoted as having remarked,
“Some English media have said that my injury will make me miss next season, that there were problems with the surgery, none of this is true.
“The surgery went really well. Although I don’t want to set a date, I expect to be ready to play at the beginning of 2019, that’s my goal for the next months. Thank you all for your support.”
Now that is good news, let’s hope that turns out to be the case as Lanzini is a class act who makes such a difference to the Hammers side.
