The West Ham attacker was the star on the night for Ukraine against the reigning European champions as the former Borussia Dortmund winger’s goal was vital in the Yellow and Blue qualifying for EURO 2020, yet it was Yarmolenko’s skill that had fans talking long after the final whistle.
The forward’s simple dummy was timed to perfection as it allowed right-back Oleksandr Karavayev to run into a dangerous area down the right-wing, and West Ham fans on social media loved seeing their number 7 cause havoc for a Portugal side that had the likes of Cristian Ronaldo and Bernado Silva in the starting XI.
