West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, a result which extends their worrying record to just one victory in their past six matches across all competitions.
The Hammers fell behind just six minutes into the game as Alex Pritchard struck an early goal before Felipe Anderson ensured the points would be shared by extending his recent run of goalscoring form.
Against a struggling Premier League side, a draw was certainly not the result West Ham fans were looking for and many took to social media to share their thoughts on the match – with opinions on one performer being divided.
Lukasz Fabianski has been a mainstay for Manuel Pellegrini’s side this season after arriving on a free transfer from Swansea City during the summer but, while some were impressed by his display against the Terriers, others believed he should have done better for the hosts’ opening goal.
We have gathered some of the best reactions below.
Embarassing opener from West Ham’s perspective. Lose the ball weakly on own half in build-up, easily bypassed with 1-2, then Pritchard score daisycutter on weaker foot from here, through Rice’s legs.
All this to say: Fabianski 😢 pic.twitter.com/J6TZ2PtrzS

It’s not been a great game from West Ham so far. Fabianski has kept us in the match

Welp, I guess Fabianski earned his pay in the first two minutes. #WHUFC #COYI
