There has been plenty of attention surrounding Issa Diop, especially after Sky Sports reported Manchester United were interested in signing him.
The initial report claimed United were offering £45 million and a player, with ExWHUEmployee later confirming the player being offered was Phil Jones.
West Ham have since demanded that Anthony Martial is included as part of any deal, as reported by the Telegraph, a proposal United have rejected.
Though it was confirmed by ExWHUEmployee that the Hammers never expected it to be accepted, but made the demand as a signal to United that the French centre back isn’t for sale.
Footy Accumulators had claimed another demand has been made by the Hammers, though ExWHUemployee soon cleared things up…
We haven’t said that! We have said he isn’t for sale. No figure has been named https://t.co/I1sGfyesVz

The Hammers’ stance regarding this transfer negotiation has been a highly encouraging one, as they are seemingly avoiding the advances of a top six side for one of the club’s star men – something which hasn’t happened too many times in the past.
Even with this being the case, there can still be a sense of anticipation regarding this kind of deal, as a player’s head could be turned.
With this is mind, it was reassuring for many to see Ex correcting the report.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the correction, including posts from thankful West Ham fans, can be seen below:
Love to see us standing up to The Damned United for players like Diop and Rice

He had a couple of incredible seasons in France prior to that you fool! If McGuire is worth £80m then Diop is worth at least that. Jog on @FootyAccums

I honestly think he will end up at a bigger team than united. Once that France call up happens Barca will be interested
