Vital Hammers News

It’s A Waste Of Time Turning Up On Saturday If You Listen To One TV Pundit

|

On Saturday, West Ham make the short trip to North London to take on Arsenal.

It’s a game that both sides will be looking to win with both sides having suffered defeats in their two opening games of the new season.

However, it’ll take a disciplined defensive display if the Hammers are going to come away with anything from the game.

But, whilst we’re full of optimism that Manuel Pellegrini can engineer a result, it doesn’t seem that one particular pundit shares the same opinion.

Working for the BBC the TV pundit, Mark Lawrenson has had this to say:

“West Ham seriously worry me. They were hopeless defensively in defeat by both Liverpool and Bournemouth. You can sign as many players as you want, but ultimately if you can’t defend in the Premier League, you are going to be in trouble.”

As a consequence, Lawrenson predicts that the Hammers will lose 2-0!

Has he gauged it right or has he got it hopelessly wrong?
