‘It’s a start at least’: Some West Ham fans react to big stadium update

|

West Ham have had to endure a turbulent few years since moving to the London Stadium but there is a hope that more stability lies ahead under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini.

The Chilean boss invested heavily in the summer, splashing over £100m to bring the likes of Felipe Anderson and Issa Diop to the club, and things have started to come together after a slow start to the Premier League campaign.

Three consecutive victories against Newcastle United, Cardiff City and Crystal Palace have sent the Hammers charging up the Premier League standings and have provided plenty of optimism for the busy festive season that lies ahead.

Further changes are expected in 2019 and one of those could come in the stadium, as it has been revealed that West Ham have agreed to pay an extra £450k-a-year to increase their capacity for home matches – which has earned responses from some supporters.

We have gathered some of their comments below.
