Image: West Ham man is training hard as Pellegrini has his say

|

Following the injury to Andriy Yarmolenko, it’s fair to say that there is a degree of uncertainty in the West Ham attack. The Ukranian had been a regular as of late, and replacing him will be no easy feat.

Naturally, one candidate for the role is young Grady Diangana. He’s had his first real taste of first-team football this term, and Manuel Pellegrini has now had his say on the youngster – which perhaps gives us an insight into his chances of taking over the position.

Alongside a photo of Diangana hard at work in training, West Ham have shared a recent quote from Manuel Pellegrini on the attacker.

“I think he’s a young player” Pellegrini said, before adding that he’s got “a lot of good technical ability”.

It’s hard to look past Diangana as the ideal option in this role. His pace, technical quality, brilliant dribbling and drive would make him a real threat down the flanks, and we always like to see a young Hammer get a chance in the first team.

He’s inexperienced, sure, but in terms of raw attributes, he could be just the ticket, especially given how poor Michail Antonio has been as of late.
