Former West Ham United centre-back Tomas Repka has been jailed for 15 months, and Hammers fans have been having their say.
Repka has been sentenced to a prison term for fraud in his native Czech Republic after he sold a woman a Mercedes-Benz that turned out to be a rental vehicle, which he didn’t even own.
This is not the first time that the former club record signing, at £5.5million, has been sentenced for jail time, either, as “Red Card Repka” was sent down for six months last year for revenge porn when he posted indecent images of his ex-wife online, advertising her as an escort.
That charge, however, was reduced to a community order, and Repka has already appealed the initial sentencing for his fraud charge.
As a player, Repka earned his bad-boy reputation after he saw red on his debut for two bookable offences, having moved to East London from Serie A side Fiorentina in 2001.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the former Czech Republic international was given his marching orders again in his third match in Claret and Blue, which swiftly earned the one-time Italian Cup winner a reputation for his disciplinary record.
