“I don’t know what more he has to do”: Hammers midfielder gaining plenty of support after MOTM display v Charlton

|

Maybe now his performance will be good enough for David Moyes to give him a go in the first-team?

Well, we’ll just wait and see about that. I’m talking of course about Josh Cullen, who put in a very good display on Tuesday against Charlton Athletic, as he controlled the game by completing 92% of his passes as well as playing one key pass, which helped him take home Man of the Match honours.

Ian Wright said on last weekend’s Match Of The Day that he felt he should be in the starting line-up for the game against Newcastle, and now West Ham Twitter page @WestHam_Gossip has put forward the notion that he should be given more of a chance in the first-team going forward:

Now given that he’s a defensive midfielder and the club are pretty blessed when it comes to players in that position, namely Declan Rice, Mark Noble, Tomas Soucek, it could prove to be a little tricky to get ahead of them, but if he keeps up these good displays, then who knows?

It looks as if those two years on loan at Charlton Athletic have certainly done him the world of good if he’s being deemed talented enough to be knocking on the door of the first-team now.

What about you? Would you start Cullen against Arsenal?
