Husillos increasing efforts to sign €30m ace as West Ham meet with 25 y/o’s entourage – report

Mario Husillos is seemingly increasing his efforts to sign Hakan Calhanoglu, as Calciomercato have claimed that representatives working for West Ham have met with the 25-year-old’s entourage on multiple occasions.

It has again been slated that the Turkey international’s future at the San Siro is in doubt, as AC’s Technical Director Leonardo is keen to revitalise the Rossoneri ahead of next season, and Calhanoglu is among those who may be scrapped.

The wide midfielder, who is as skilful in the centre as he is on the wing, has fallen out of favour with the Serie A outfit this term, having failed to make the ‘long-awaited’ leap in performances they expected of someone they paid Bayer Leverkusen €22million (£18.8m) for in 2017.

We are not alone in chasing Calhanoglu, however, as Calciomercato add that Leicester City are still showing an interest in the 41-cap international’s availability. They are not claimed to have held any discussions with the attacking midfielder’s team as of yet, though.

Fenerbahce are also muted as a potential destination for the Mannheim, Germany-born ace, but the Super Lig outfit’s financial predicament is thought to be a situation that will prevent any move in the next transfer window.

While Calhanoglu is likely going to be sold this summer, Milan will not wave goodbye to the two goal, 13 assist creator without recouping more than what they paid. Reports in Turkey, when we were first linked with the right-footed free-kick wizard, speculated that Leonardo will hold out for €30million (£25.7m).

Calciomercato have now echoed this sentiment.
