West Ham supporters have seen a lot of strikers come and go without making massive impact during their time at the London club, and whilst their striker issues look like they could be solved if Sebastien Haller can find his feet, one man they got rid of in summer is flying in La Liga now.

Not Javier Hernandez, who left for Sevilla (BBC), but instead it’s the Spaniard himself Lucas Perez who has been in sublime form since he made his move to Alaves in the summer (Sky Sports). Since his move, though, he’s been in flying form and has helped Alaves to 14th in the table, six points clear of the drop.
What’s been particularly impressive, though, is the form of the striker in front of goal. After failing to score in his first six games for the La Liga club, the Spaniard has now scored in every single one of his last seven games, bagging one each matchday and also chiming in with two assists in that time (Transfermarkt).
Were we wrong to sell Lucas Perez in the summer?
Yes he's in great form now
No he was rubbish
You can read the Irons’ thoughts on Perez’s recent form here:
How do we do it?! Every time we get a talented player and they become worrying average or less when they play for us!

When he had a chance in front of goal he usually finished it.

These strikers are not that bad that we have had, we just never play a system that suits them, we play 1 up top with no support, very few top strikers in the world play well with 1 up top!!

The Hammers have long struggled with strikers, and Perez is no exception as he continues to shine since his departure from the club.
