West Ham secured back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season after sweeping aside Cardiff City at the London Stadium, just days after taking all three points from their trip to Newcastle United.
The Hammers were forced to work hard to secure their win on Tuesday evening, with Lukasz Fabianski saving a first-half penalty, and concern amongst the supporters was raised after Marko Arnautovic was forced off before the break through injury.
However, the loss of the Austria international did not prove to be costly as Lucas Perez shone after coming on as his replacement, netting a second-half brace before Michail Antonio added to the scoreline – although Josh Murphy did score a late consolation for the visitors.
Perez, who signed from Arsenal in the summer, had previously failed to score in his five previous Premier League appearances for the Hammers but supporters are now hopeful that he can kick on to become a key figure.
We have gathered some of the comments regarding his starring display below.

Perez. So happy for him. Think he changed the game in a few ways. His movement was making so much space for others and the two goals were well taken. Deserves the start Saturday.

Great 3 points, did brilliantly in that second half. Perez smashed it. The first half wasn’t too great, but we made up for it. COME ON YOU IRONS! #COYI #WHUFC ⚒
