For the most part, West Ham have been doing well in recent weeks. Manuel Pellegrini has improved the team dramatically, at least in comparison to last season, and for that we must be grateful. However, it’s not all perfect.
Indeed, our loss to Cardiff City on Saturday highlights that. It was a shocking display from the Hammers, and it honestly left us questioning what could have possibly gone so wrong.
It appears as though Manuel Pellegrini was asking the same questions, at least judging by what he’s had to say since the game.
“I was surprised with the way we played because we kept the same starting XI as we used and who played so well against Newcastle."https://t.co/L2jQbutrUz

Certainly, we were brilliant against Newcastle, and that was a game that really implied that the players were improving at a rapid rate, but to go from being so good to so poor in a space of mere days? It’s hard to get your head around.
However, as has been pointed out by many West Ham fans online, it’s Pellegrini’s job to work out what went wrong, and his admission that he isn’t sure is a real worry. Naturally, lots of supporters have been quick to criticise the boss, as you can see below:
I like the fact that Pellegrini always finds new ways to be surprised at just how poor we can be.

Because Newcastle at home and Cardiff away are not totally different teams/styles and scenarios ! Seriously!

Would help if you started with @MarkoArn7 a proven goal scorer and not Hernandez. Simples.
