It seems like a regular occurrence for a pundit to go after Declan Rice after one poor performance, and Jamie O’Hara is the latest name to target the West Ham star.
“I would have to say that he’s a little bit overrated.”
“Declan Rice has come in and done well.”
“Let’s not go OTT with him being a £100m player.” @MrJamieOHara1 says that at the moment, he thinks Declan Rice is overrated.

The talkSPORT pundit and Billericay Town manager signalled out Rice following England’s 2-1 defeat to the Czech Republic in EURO 2020 qualifying, the Three Lions first defeat in any major competition qualifier in 10 years, with O’Hara labelling Rice as ‘slightly overrated’.
As expected, plenty of West Ham fans jumped to the defence of Rice following O’Hara’s seemingly harsh words on the 20-year-old midfielder, with supporters quick to point out that their young star was not the only player to play poorly in the defeat in Prague.
Here’s what some West Ham fans had to say about O’Hara’s comments on Rice on Twitter…
Here we go again, lets bash our young stars because, at 20 they aren’t world beater and have 1 below average game.
Look at his stats in the premier league. oh and did I mention he’s 20!!!
where does O’Hara play these days……thought so……next pic.twitter.com/Gd50sntw94— Chad (@IamChadbacca) October 14, 2019
Declan Rice is a great player with more to come. COYI

How hard is it to understand that West Ham don’t actually think he’s worth that much but they know no one will pay that much so we will keep him

Seriously…. some of the comments..!!! England fans already turning on their players after one positive tournament….. No one will want to buy him then….. absolutely fine by me. Stick to your Winks, Delph, Barkley, Hourihane, Cork, McTominay, Xhaka…..

Fans were not having it seeing their star man being labelled as ‘overrated’…
He has been one of our most consistent players. He played poorly against Czech Republic but in all fairness England did as a whole. He’s still only 20 and can get better.

This coming from a very average player who’s best performance was probably when he was on Big Brother #deluded

He’s already 10 times the player Ohara was

Hasn’t put a foot wrong for West Ham all season…
Talksport: let’s get a has-been who practically retired at the age of 29 and is better known for reality TV.
O’Hara: “thinks he’s overrated mate”.

The Mirror have recently reported that Rice could be the subject of a £70m bid from Manchester United.
