West Ham have struggled to find their feet under Manuel Pellegrini, losing six of their opening 12 Premier League matches.
The Hammers splashed over £100m in the summer to completely rejuvenate their side but consistency has still been difficult to find, with a number of those recruits already struggling to earn regular opportunities.
It continues a concerning trend for West Ham in the transfer market, who seem to often sign players on high wages that then struggle to find form, which results in decreased opportunities in the first-team picture.
Javier Hernandez is one of those players and, according to the latest claims, his high wages and the fact he is rarely featuring has left many first-team players infuriated at the club’s wage structure and believe they should be earning a higher salary.
With a risk of a huge mess developing as we edge ever closer to the January transfer window, some fans on Twitter have given their reactions and we have gathered some of those below.
Why don’t we be extra clinical for once? ship Carroll & Hernandez and bring in Callum Wilson who’s probably around 40k a week. We need clincal players without stupid wages

What happens when you don’t have a plan, wage structure and some integrity.

Player power is so strong these days. Really there should be a much higher performance related component. 100k for not doing your job to the standard expected is a bizarre place to be
