It has been a turbulent few seasons for West Ham since moving to the London Stadium and Manuel Pellegrini’s side are fighting for consistency again this term.
The Hammers’ victory over Burnley at the weekend was only their third in 11 Premier League matches this season and, despite spending over £100m in the summer transfer window, improvements have been slow.
One of the bright sparks of recent years has certainly been the emergence of Declan Rice, who has established himself as a regular in the club’s pecking order, but West Ham risk a major loss as a contract standoff with the 19-year-old continues.
Rice is keen to earn a significant pay rise if he is to put pen to paper on a new deal and, although his current contract has plenty of time left to run, the Hammers could see their prized asset snatched by a Premier League rival.
