Left back’s are all the talk of West Ham at the moment and Ricardo Gardner is another of them.

A new arrival in the summer is something that is almost certain to be the case as far as Sam Allardyce’s problematic left back spot goes, however a “stop-gap” for the remainder of this season could come in the shape of the vastly experienced Jamaican?

Gardner is on trial with The Hammers and Allardyce could turn to the 34-year-old, another of the growing number of former Bolton players at Upton Park, on a short term deal until the end of the season.

The defender, seriously troubled by knee injuries, turned down a move to West Ham a couple of years ago but could now be tempted by one last hurrah in the Premier League having been without a club since leaving Bolton at the end of last season.
