nother day, another striker as they say!

According to a piece of transfer tittle-tattle that has appeared in the Bleacher Report, West Ham United are set to renew their interest in a striker plying his trade in the Bundesliga.

The striker in question is 28-year-old Anthony Modeste, who is on the books of Cologne.

According to our referenced source, West Ham have failed in two previous attempts to lure Modeste to the club, the first being in the transfer window last summer and the second being back in the January transfer window.

This season Modeste has flourished in the Bundesliga and is at the summit of the goal-scoring charts along with Bayern Munich`s Robert Lewandoski and Dortmund`s Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

Modeste has played in England before, joining Blackburn Rovers on a loan spell.
