A win, against Burnley, was most welcome.
Even more so when a player who arrived with such a big reputation but who has failed to deliver on several occasions steps up and produces a man-of-the-match display.
Yesterday, was, certainly, Anderson’s day, with the midfielder scoring a brace, hitting the post and also providing an assist.

Naturally, his performance attracted several comments on social media, with the majority of the Hammers support welcoming his startling display with the following social media comments highlighting that very fact:
He floated like a butterfly and he stang like a bee !

was a needed performance for his confidence, hoping he continues this onto huddersfield and for the rest of the season ⚒

If he plays like that every game for the rest of the season, he’d be worth £80+ million.

However, not everybody, as you’d expect, was as gushing with many wanting Anderson to produce the goods on a more consistent basis, as shown by the posts below:
You were great mi amore. Just please do this every week ????????

One in five games , good enough ??

Played well, but one good performance does not paper over past efforts. We need to see this week in and week out. But we have faith! #coyi pic.twitter.com/sgNtY0rtD0

Has Anderson turned the corner?
Are those inconsistent displays set to become a thing of the past?
Can Anderson dominate games against better opposition than Burnley?
I guess only time will tell but at least things appear to be on the up!
