Hammers Striker Leads The Way On The International Stage

With the international break upon us and with the Hammers not returning to Premier League action until next Saturday when they entertain Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium, we’ve been keeping an eye out for how our players are doing on international duty.

Last night, in his native Austria, Marko Arnautovic continued his fine start to the season, captaining Austria in a Nations League fixture in Vienna.

Arnautovic led by example scoring the only goal of the game, in the seventy-first minute when he got in behind the former Manchester United defender, Paddy McNair before slipping the ball past the young Leeds United keeper, Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

The goal continued Marko’s fine run of scoring form for his country with it being his seventh goal in his last eight international fixtures.

Let’s hope that Marko can continue his fine form when the Hammers, after the defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion last time out, can get back to winning ways against Tottenham next weekend.
