Transfer speculation is rife and as an amateur hack, it is something I love.

Previously, in the past few days, we covered the insinuation that West Ham United were showing an interest in the Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen.

Our article, Click Here discussed the attributes the 27-year-old Welsh international midfielder could bring to a midfield department David Moyes has already stated he wishes to boost.

Today, speculation relating to the Hammers interest in the player, has appeared on the news vehicle, Sky Sports, with the source confirming our interest.

However, whether a deal could be struck could well depend on the future of the beleaguered Stoke City manager, Mark Hughes.

After consecutive losses to Chelsea (a) and Newcastle (h), Hughes job could be in danger. If the Welshman is axed then Stoke may put a block on transfers or we could find that the new incumbent has no intention of letting Allen move on.

We can but wait and see!
