Hammers Midfielder Injury Diagnosis Isn’t Good News For The West Ham Support

|

When news broke that our attacking playmaker, Manual Lanzini, had picked up a bad knee injury whilst at the Argentine international training camp ahead of the 2018 World Cup, it was seen as a major blow to the Hammers ambitions for the 2018 / 2019 season.

Sadly, it appears that things could be worse than first thought.

The popular red-top publication, the Mirror, are reporting that the injury is so severe the 25-year-old Argentine is set to miss the whole of next season.

If that forecast is true, then that will be a savage blow to the Hammers.

Furthermore, it makes you ponder as to whether the injury is so serious the player, as some have failed to do so, might not return the same quality of player as he was before he picked up the injury.

If that is the case, then it makes it even more tragic to have picked up the injury in a training session as opposed to a competitive match.

Here at Vital West Ham, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that there is a bright light somewhere at the end of the tunnel as far as the future of Manuel Lanzini goes.
