Hammers Involved In A Puzzling But Interesting Scenario

|

The European U19 Championships that are currently ongoing could result in a young West Ham player leaving the club.

Our Portuguese youngster, Domingos Quina, certainly put himself in the shop window when he scored a spectacular goal for his country, against Italy.

The 18-year-old, who signed for West Ham from Chelsea two seasons ago, has made just six appearances for the senior side but has impressed in the U23 side where he made 18 appearances and scored two goals last season.

Now in the last year of his contract, the popular news source, Sky Sports, are reporting that West Ham would be willing to let Quina leave for a fee of £600,000 which isn’t a huge amount in the modern game.

But, this is where the situation gets both interesting and a little puzzling.

Interestingly our referenced source points out that his performances have attracted the attention of several European clubs, amongst them being Barcelona, Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen.

Which makes any potential departure a little puzzling, I can’t help wondering if a club of Barcelona’s stature are interested in Quina then are we clearly missing something?

Here at Vital West Ham, we’d be delighted to read your views on the above subject matter in our comments facility beneath this article.
