As we prepare for a tough looking fixture, away to Everton, this weekend, the Hammers support will be hoping that their team can get their first points of the season.
After losing the first four games of the new season, the Hammers have found themselves rooted to the bottom of the table, not an enjoyable experience.
With the season having been interrupted by the first international break, we’ve had two weeks to mull over our situation and we hope that the coaching staff have been working hard with the squad, those who have not been on international duty, in training.
Ryan Fredericks, our summer signing from our London rivals Fulham, has given an insight into what has been going on during the break:
“We’ve gone over the fundamentals of how we want to attack and how we want to defend and done a lot of fitness-based stuff.”https://t.co/qy0ITlphrZ

It’s interesting to see that Ryan has mentioned that the players have been doing a lot of fitness based work, which sort of implies that the level of fitness, within the squad, isn’t as good as it should be, prompting some comments, relating to the subject to be placed on social media:
How can the players basically be saying that they're not fit enough, it's the middle of September. I though noble said this was the best pre season ever or does he just bum up whoever is in power at the time.

Defending as a team attacking movement up front and score goals fitness we are 4 games in to the season why are the team not fit the other teams seen to run all day when their playing

It’s an interesting point, several clubs didn’t have all their full complement of players available, come the big kick-off, but surely the Hammers weren’t faced with that particular problem and if they were then surely the reinforcements brought in should have compensated for that fact.
If the squad are not as fit enough as they should be, then surely someone should be held accountable.
