Reaction to Manuel Pellegrini’s latest signing, Swansea goalkeeper and Poland International Lukasz Fabianski, has been quick to hit the world of social media.
Hot on the heels of Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks and Issa Diop from Toulouse the new gaffer looks to be building a very solid base.
The new keeper comes with these impressive stats
???? GK | Lukasz Fabianski ⚒
2014/15: 1⃣4⃣0⃣saves (1st)
2015/16: 1⃣1⃣7⃣saves (2nd)
2016/17: 1⃣1⃣8⃣saves (3rd)
2017/18: 1⃣4⃣2⃣saves (2nd)

If those stats of – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd in terms of the number of saves made by a Premier League keeper over the last four seasons hold up the Hammers have got a real top drawer stopper.
Of course, he may not get as much action behind the Hammers’ defense as he did at Swansea, given the other new defensive additions to the squad.
More positive reaction from the fans.

Although not all are convinced.

It is a good point. What of Adrian? Will he remain number one choice or will he be benched? It seems others are pondering this too.

For what it’s worth my view is that it is quite likely to see Adrian move on rather than play second fiddle. That would be a shame but it is notoriously difficult to keep two first-string keepers happy.
If Pellegrini does manage to keep both players at the club, happy and motivated, it bodes well for a much better season!
