Hammers Fans Reactions To Wilshere Injury News Breaking

|

This Sunday, West Ham United make the trek to Goodison Park, to face Everton in a Premier League fixture.

With the Hammers having accumulated the grand total of zero points from the four Premier League games played so far this season, the pressure is on to get that first win of the season.

Unfortunately, West Ham United will be without one of their plethora of summer signings with Manuel Pellegrini, at his pre-match press conference, announcing that Jack Wilshere is sidelined by an ankle injury.

When West Ham United signed Wilshere this summer, it was known that the 26-year-old had missed numerous games during his career with Arsenal and Bournemouth (loan) with ankle injuries, however, it was hoped that Wilshere would last longer than four games before being hit again by an injury.

Talking to the media, at his pre-match press conference, the news source, the Daily Mail, reports that Pellegrini had this to say about the problem:

“Jack felt a pain in his ankle two days ago.

“He doesn’t have a chance to face Everton. On Tuesday we will see after he has a medical review.”

The news, once it hit the streets, produced reaction from the West Ham support on social media.

Several posts touched on the irony of it all:

Whilst some were of the opinion that the club should never have bought Wilshere:

And another saw it as a blessing in disguise:
