Things can only get better!
That’s the mantra we used last season when, for the second season in succession, we had a dalliance with the relegation battle.
After spending a record amount of cash, during the summer transfer window, things were supposed to be different this season.
But, after two games that does not appear to be the case.
The Hammers have no points out of the six available and have conceded six goals.
Immediately, after the match, the social media sites were alive with punters expressing their views.
We have a sample for you to read and, hopefully, comment on in our facility at the bottom of this article.
Starting with some criticism of the midfield:
Having Noble and Wiltshire in middle of the park is asking for trouble no legs between them subs bench at best.

And as for the money spent:
Why did we even spend £100m? We could’ve had these results with last years squad.

West Ham are well and truly back

Moving on, did Pellegrini get his team selection wrong?
Some seem to think so:
Embarrassing 2nd half performance. Players are all over the place and it doesn't even look like we have a gameplan or tactics. Why would he start Snodgrass over Yarmolenko and Zabaleta over Fredericks is an even more stupid decision.

As for the effort shown and the desire to be combative:
To nicey nicey not enough hard work going on

That second half was as bad as it gets . Lack of effort all round , just hope he can find a settled line up soon

But, the crux of the matter remains that awful defensive display:
Defensively atrocious. You can’t play a 4-4-2 without athletes – you’ll get played through.

Returning to the midfield criticism, here’s another:
You may as well play my Nans in centre midfield as they have more legs than wilshire and Noble!!!! Slow and methodical

It doesn’t make for good reading does it?
Now, here at Vital West Ham, we can understand getting turned over at Anfield but to lose to Bournemouth when you have our ambition, it hurts!
