Transfer speculation continues to link West Ham United with a raft of midfielders.

The latest to be added to a growing list is that of the Arsenal midfielder, Francis Coquelin.

According to the popular red-top publication, the Mirror, the Frenchman could be set to leave the Emirates Stadium this month with West Ham being suggested as a possible destination.

However, another source offers a different scenario though, with the Spanish news source, Cadenaser, West Ha might not have it all their own way when it comes to a possible deal with this referenced source implying that Arsenal are in talks with the Spanish side Valencia over a possible move.

Furthermore, West Ham`s chances of landing Coquelin diminished further when at his press conference, ahead of Arsenal`s semi-final tie with Chelsea, Arsene Wenger admitted that his player could be leaving the club but that it won`t be to West Ham.

Could the Hammers be flogging a dead-horse with this one?
