Following on from what was a lacklustre performance in the FA Cup 3rd round, against Shrewsbury Town, at the New Meadow Stadium, West Ham were perhaps lucky to get the chance to have a replay.

But for the antics of Joe Hart, between the Hammers posts, West Ham could well have found themselves on the roll of shame that the Premier League sides Stoke City and Arsenal found themselves on after losing to Coventry City and Nottingham Forest respectively.

West Ham United will be given the chance to show Shrewsbury that they are a Premier League side when the two sides meet again in the replay which is scheduled for Tuesday 16th January, at the London Stadium, with the kick-off scheduled for 19:45.

For the winners, a fourth-round tie, away from home, against the winner of the Bournemouth v Wigan Athletic replay awaits.
